New of Note: Nancy was asked to judge the 2009 Congressional Art Competition for High Scholl Artists. The winner of this competition will have their work hung in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, DC.

Student Field Trip - On March 24th, we met at the Mint Museum for a tour "Masterworks of the New Orleans Museum of Art" then to Shun Lee Palace for dinner. The artworks were amazing! A nice group for the tour and 27 for dinner together! A good time was had by all! ***
Nancy just received an award at the Charlotte Artists Society Annual Exhibition December 2008 for her new painting of a "Lilac Breasted Roller" which is a beautiful African bird photographed in Kenya. *** News of Note: Thank you for making donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association! Your contribution was greatly appreciated! The event below was a success, and you can still contribute to MDA. Artwork by Nancy and Charlotte Fairman was on exhibit at the Pineville Fall Fest October 18, 2008 with the Pineville Art Guild.
